Rares Got Two More In The Works
Speaking to MTV news Moore said that Rare, the studio behind the Xbox 360 launch period titles Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero, is already working on two new titles for the Xbox 360, with these new titles already two years into development and set to be officially announced in the spring of 2006. Moore added that Microsoft hopes to "leverage Rares incredible ability to broaden the demographic that are attracted to the consoles." While only guesswork, we assume at least one of these games will be a Banjo-Kazooie follow-up. The other title could be anything from a new Killer Instinct, to a much wanted sequel to Jet Force Gemini. Whatever they turn out to be, Microsoft will be hoping they can recapture their Nintendo 64 glory days. Moore also spoke about the launch line-up for the Xbox 360, saying how he is most proud of Kameo and also went on to praise Call of Duty 2 and King Kong. Moore acknowledged that Perfect Dark Zero had faced some negative criticism, putting that down to the games visual style that doesnt lend itself to the next generation. He added that the game will begin to shine once players experience the 32-player online mode. It might just be me, or is this a rather worrying statement to make? I was hoping that the single-player would shine, with the multiplayer being a nice bonus, but when one of Microsofts big players seemingly downplays the single-player campaigns importance, alarm bells start to ring. Heres hoping were all pleasantly surprised come launch day.Source: http://www.pro-g.co.uk/
