DOOM 3 To Resurrect On Xbox
DOOM 3 to Resurrect on Xbox Word on the street says the PC expansion pack is coming to Xbox this fall. IGN learned today from a Northern California source that Activision has plans to publish a standalone expansion pack of DOOM 3 Resurrection of Evil to Xbox this fall. Resurrection of Evil for the PC is an expansion pack that shipped in early April 2005 for $34.99. The pack comprises about 12-15 hours of gameplay based on a handful of new single-player levels, in which players take on the role of a military man who visits the troubled base in which all hell broke loose in DOOM 3. Weve heard an Xbox version is coming this fall for roughly the same price. Activision wouldnt comment on the subject. "We cannot confirm that," an Activision spokesperson told IGN today over the phone. "Our officially word is this -- stay tuned." Given the upcoming QuakeCon event in Texas next week, however, we might learn the official word sooner than later. Activisions DOOM 3 Resurrection of Evil is a basic extension of the first-person DOOM 3 campaign with a few minor differences. New weapons include the double-barreled shotgun and the Grabber Gun, similar to Half-Lifes Grav Gun, though it can capture and redirect large projectiles such as fireballs and plasma balls, as opposed to bullets and grenades. There are a few more monsters, a greater number of varied environments, and the addition of "Hell-Time," ids version of Bullet Time.Source: http://www.ign.com
