Majesco Raze’s Hell
Just as it seems things are winding down for 2004, a small group of publishers are adamantly keeping their names in the news (*cough EA cough*). Majesco has grabbed the quick spotlight this time with the announcement of Raze's Hell, a third-person shooter set in a fantasy world riddled with "fiendishly cute creatures."Raze's Hell, a single-, co-op, and multiplayer game, is exclusive to Xbox and set for a spring release.
Artech's acton-shooter follows the exploits of Raze, a monstrous lead character who finds himself faced with an onslaught of cute enemies (the Kewletts) he must mercilessly slaughter to restore the natural state of ugliness in his world. Sounds like there's going to be a whole lot of bloody fur in this one.
"Anyone who has been driven crazy by the cloying sweetness surrounding some of today's popular characters will appreciate the ultimate goal of this hilariously gruesome game," said Ken Gold, vice president of marketing for Majesco. "Raze's Hell is a creatively executed integration of humor and action that should satisfy those looking for something different in a videogame."
Raze finds himself heavily impacted by the leadership of the Kewletts' wacky Princess, intent on imposing her own disturbingly distorted view of utopia upon their civilization. Like any good videogame character, he goes to war against his enemies to save the world, while earning respect and assistance from some of the planet's other inhabitants. As players progress, Raze grows in power and gets closer to the Kewtopia capital where he must uncover the truth behind the Kewlett takeover.
