Halo 2, Xbox Live Set Records
Halo 2, Xbox Live Set Records January 20, 2005 - Microsoft today announced some impressive numbers. First, Xbox Live is as healthy as ever, now boasting 1.4 million members -- a number doubtlessly assisted by Halo 2's popularity and online play. Speaking of which, the Master Chief's second outing continues to rack up sales, now boasting 6.4 million copies sold worldwide -- with almost 4.4 million sold in the U.S. alone. With the original Halo factored in, the franchise has now sold 12.8 million copies in just three years. If that's not a certified hit, we'll start chewing our own shorts. Just how Live is Halo 2? Microsoft reports 91 million hours of online time logged by the title so far. Microsoft intends to keep the Live action going in the new year, with Conker: Live and Reloaded, DOOM 3 and Forza Motorsport on the way and online-ready.Source: http://www.ign.com/
