Halo 2 - Stats Mask Community Turmoil
Bungie today continued to celebrate the success of Halo 2 on Xbox Live!, with the announcement of the following statistics to give some indication of how popular the game is: Unique Users: 413,282 Unique Users to Date: 1,260,979 Total Sessions: 957,485 Average Min / Session: 92.47 Min Concurrent Users: 18,464 Max Concurrent Users: 104,781 Total Live-aware Games Logged to Date: 45,928,727 Total "Player-Games": 336,555,601 Total Number of Clans: 387,793 However whilst the figures are impressive, the Halo 2 community is currently engulfed in a bitter row over the subject of cheaters. Whilst Bungie have assured fans that they are doing everything to stop cheaters and have already begun to ban Xbox Live! accounts, enraged gamers point to the fact that the Top Clans are allegedly the same, using one clan to beat the others to rise quickly through the list. In addition, a number of glitches such as the infamous “standby” and “dummy” tricks and techniques such as one member hiding in a glitched location to secure a win whilst the others log out to play more games, are continuing to create a very hostile atmosphere amongst the Halo 2 community and thwarting Bungie’s plans to introduce new content as they place priority on discovering the cheaters and banning their Xbox Live! accounts.Source: http://www.totalvideogames.com
