LucasArts Reveals A New Kotor 2 Planet
Telos suffered greatly at the hands of the Sith during the Jedi Civil War, its surface the target of heavy bombardment from the Sith fleet. In the past few years, the Republic has started a planetary recovery effort, which it hopes will one day return the dead planet to its former beauty and glory. In orbit around the planet is the enormous Citadel Station, from where the Ithorians in charge of the planet’s recovery carefully monitor and manipulate the ecology of the planet below. While within the station, refugees and workers are housed in sparse apartments, with very few luxuries. Most occupants work the docking bays, or are part of the station’s live-in security force. Leisure time is spent at one of the cantinas - mingling with the few travelers that are passing through this part of the galaxy. A shuttle system allows transportation to the planet below for the few who help the restoration effort. Using a complex shield network, the surface of the planet is divided into restoration zones, where flora and fauna from across the galaxy – including dangerous wild beasts such as the cannok from the jungle moon of Dxun – are introduced into the controlled environment. Outside the lush restoration zones, arid, unlivable barrens still cover much of the planet’s surface, a testament to the destruction and pain the once beautiful planet has endured.Source: http://www.lucasarts.com
