New Details On Scaler

Global Star Software released additional information pertaining to the main character of its upcoming action/platform Scaler: The Shapeshifting Chameleon today. In fact, the company literally put together a little specifically to describe the game’s setup. We’ve copied it verbatim below: "Bobby ’Scaler’ Jenkins is a bright energetic twelve-year-old boy with a sharp wit and a keen eye. He’s the daredevil of the neighborhood and a serious force of nature. Bobby is an only child raised by his single mother. His father, a famous research scientist, disappeared shortly after Bobby’s birth. Bobby’s mother overindulges Bobby in order to compensate for the loss of his father, and because of this Bobby has a bit too much free rein and tends to push things a bit too far. From skateboarding to his love of lizards, Bobby takes everything to the extreme. In fact, Bobby loves lizards and everything about them; lizards aren’t just cool, they’re beyond cool. In fact, the symbol he uses for his way of life is a blue lizard he’s drawn, and perfected, which he has dubbed ’Scaler.’ When lizards are abused in the course of shooting a motion picture, Bobby shows up at the premiere and protests by painting blue ’Scalers’ on the red carpet. When oil development threatens to destroy a natural lizard habitat, Bobby scales the corporate building in protest and plants a ’Scaler’ flag on top of the building. When a building project plans to cut down an old tree that is a home to rare lizards, Bobby tree sits until the builder backs down. When Bobby suspects his new neighbor, Mr. Looger, of stealing lizard eggs, Bobby investigates and gets caught - knocked out cold from a blow to the back of the head. He wakes up to discover he’s being interrogated by Captain Bootcamp, the new star on a Saturday morning TV show solely bent on teaching kids to love discipline. Yuck! But now this big lug is pumping Bobby full of lizard energy to get him to talk. Bobby outsmarts him and learns the real reason for his recent rise to fame. He’s really one of a squad of dragon creatures from another dimension who have broken into our world. Looger is the mastermind with Jazz, Rhombus, and Turbine as the infiltrating operatives. Bobby recognizes Jazz as the director from the movie set, Rhombus as the oil executive, and Turbine as the builder’s bulldozer man. But now Bobby sees them all in their real dragon forms and learns their real plans from Bootcamp. They’re stealing our lizard eggs and are taking them back to their world where they’re mutating them into dragon warriors, and creating a vast army that they’ll use to take over our world. They’ve got to be stopped! No time to go for backup. Bobby sees his chance and takes it. But even as he does so the lizard energy takes him. Bam! Bobby transforms into Scaler. Scaler jumps through the portal into the Dragon world. He’s managed to escape from his captors for the moment, but now he’s in their world and they’re hot on his heals. Scaler learns about his new abilities from tongue strikes to claw attacks, from climbing to vine riding, from double jumping to electric bomb attacks. A fellow immigrant to this bizarre land named Leon befriends scaler. Leon helps Scaler improve upon his abilities and to acquire the ability to camouflage himself. Scaler and Leon join forces, and Scaler must use his new, lizard-like skills to find all the eggs and stop Mr. Looger’s diabolical plot to takeover the world!"
