Ubisoft Announces Chessmaster
Xbox players needing a break from heavy action (we mean video games, by the way) and who have a soft spot for one of the classic geek interests may have reason to smile: Ubisoft today announced Chessmaster for the Xbox. What does this mean? Well, as you can imagine, Chessmaster will include the advanced chess-playing engine which the franchise has brought to the PC for more than a decade now. Beginning players can take advantage of the games extensive learning modes, including the Chessmaster Academy, featuring the advice of International Master Josh Waitzkin. More advanced players, of course, can crank up the challenge for a brow-straining match. Prefer a human opponent? Chestmaster will include Xbox Live support for online matches. "Now Xbox owners can play one of the greatest board games of all time and learn at their own pace, with the option of challenging other online players on Xbox Live," said Helene Juguet, Director of Marketing. "Chessmaster is a great gift idea for whole family." Chessmaster is set to hit Xbox this October.Source: http://www.ign.com
