Acclaim To Develop The Red Star
Imagine an alternate Russia, where the country is ruled by tyrannical powers and revolts are squashed like a fly on a Doc Marten. Hang on, doesn’t this all sound a bit, well, historically accurate? Well, not really, no, because the Russia portrayed by Acclaim’s The Red Star is actually a dark, magical place, with military sorcerers to contend with and large, futuristic weapons to make your digestive system not just empty, but explode rather gratuitously. Exciting, eh? Based on an American comic-book series, this violent third-person shooter centres around a rebel sorceress as she seeks her captive husband amidst all the political turmoil. There are three different characters to choose from, a combat system built upon "generations of fighters and shooters", plus a nifty co-op mode for two players.
