XBox Live features announced for TRON 2.0
Buena Vista Interactive, a publishing label of Buena Vista Games, Inc., today announced the unveiling of its TRON 2.0: Killer App Xbox(TM) Live gameplay at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Show attendees can battle on the gamegrid in unique multiplayer gameplay modes and new maps created exclusively for the Xbox(R) video game system from Microsoft and get hands-on time with the acclaimed TRON 2.0 single-player game playable for Xbox.Currently in development by Climax's Los Angeles studio, TRON 2.0: Killer App will feature Xbox Live multiplayer combat specially designed to deliver gamers a state-of-the-art online multiplayer gaming experience. The game will support advanced Xbox Live capabilities, including Xbox Live 3.0 features like MSN Messenger, Xbox Live Aware, matchmaking, player list, per-user data, content download and more.
TRON 2.0: Killer App allows up to 16 players to battle in 10 all-new maps and various game modes, including traditional deathmatch, as well as distinctive TRON gameplay modes, such as overRIDE and squad-based combat. overRIDE lets players instantly cycle switch from first-person combat to light cycle and back. Unique to currently available first-person shooter titles, overRIDE enables light cycles to be used as both a method of transportation and as a weapon. Additionally, a squad-based team multiplayer mode allows players to choose from multiple class types that suit individual and team playing styles. Players can also engage in multiplayer online light cycle and disc arena battles.
