EIDOS slips more on Crash ’n’ Burn
Wimbledon-based UK publisher Eidos Interactive have revealed a few more early details on their forthcoming manic racer Crash 'n' Burn, which is currently being developed at Climax's Brighton studio. Whilst a full compliment of details still won't be available until E3 in a couple more weeks, Eidos have reliably informed us that dangerous driving won't simply be a 'part' of the game, but rather the way you survive and progress. Indeed, the game's boy-racer influences seem to have been swayed somewhat by EA's smash hit Need for Speed Underground series, as players will be creating, modifying and personalizing their own vision of sex on wheels before taking to the mean streets and attempting to beat all comers by hook or by crook. Street race locales including LA, San Francisco, Miami and New York are on the cards. Players will even be able to take their gleaming creations online and sixteen players will be supported in the PS2 and Xbox online modes. First past the post wins, or the last car 'standing', and a cross between Underground and Carmageddon with spot of Burnout thrown in seems to be the order of the day. More from next month's LA expo on this one, I'd imagine.Source: http://www.ferrago.com
