Iron Phoenix Set for October 2004 Release
The games microsite it’s revealed that October will be the month the game is shooting to being on store shevles. About Iron Phoenix is the first-ever game to combine team oriented strategy with exhilarating sword, spear and staff-based combat. A first in the genre, Iron Phoenix delivers thrilling 16-player battle via Xbox Live and System Link, along with an enthralling story-based single player component. With gameplay and storyline straight out of a classic martial arts epic, Iron Phoenix creates an unmatched fighting experience that includes roof-top chases, wall-walking and classic fighting game button combos to unleash devastating motion-captured martial arts techniques. Legend tells that in ancient times, a meteor crashed to earth, devastating the land around it. As it fell, it was witnessed by a blacksmith, who told the tale of a column of fire shooting toward the heavens in the shape of a fiery phoenix. Upon reaching the meteor, the blacksmith found a core of solid Iron and with this core he created 9 weapons of legend. It is said that those in possession of the weapons were invincible and thus, over the millennia, countless warlords sought to acquire the arsenal of the Iron Phoenix.
