Fallout Release Date Set
Interplay and Vivendi Universal Games have announced that they will ship Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel to retail outlets on January 13, 2004. The post-nuclear apocalyptic third-person action/adventure game will be released on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Taking cues from the original Fallout and Fallout 2 RPGs on the PC, up to two players can play as members of the Brotherhood of Steel to bring order to the "nuked out wasteland." You will have various melee and ranged weapons take on funky foes like radscorpions and zombie-like mutants. Although the console action game is about to be released, Fallout 3 for the PC remains dead in the water, as Interplay focuses on the more lucrative console market. With a Brotherhood of Steel sequel expected, it seems unlikely that Fallout 3 will be sold to another developer to finish, as there would be a clash in copyrights. Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is rated M for mature, and will retail for $49.99.Source: http://www.gamepro.com/
