SpyHunter 2 Has Gone Out the Door
Midway Games Inc. a leading software industry publisher and developer, announced today that SpyHunter 2, the high-speed, mission-based, action/combat racing game today has shipped for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system and the Xbox video game system from Microsoft(R). Midway Games Inc. also announced today that the first all-new remake of its popular 1980’s action-racing game, SpyHunter(R) has sold through more than 1.6 million units worldwide across all platforms since its late-September 2001 launch and continues to sell well as part of SCEA’s "Greatest Hits" and Microsoft’s "Platinum Hits" programs. "The unique world of SpyHunter expands in SpyHunter 2, with an all-new devastatingly powerful and customizable G-8155 interceptor with brand-new vehicle transformations and the addition of a mysterious female agent," said Mark Beaumont, senior vice president - entertainment, Midway. SpyHunter 2 is a powerful progression in the mission to save the world from the sinister grip of the global criminal terrorist group, Nostra. SpyHunter 2 features an all-new, extremely powerful and customizable G-8155 Interceptor with new vehicle transformations such as an off-road 4-wheel drive vehicle and a snow ski. In addition, the gameplay includes upgradable offensive and defensive weaponry, as players fend off enemy vehicles throughout massive levels set across enormous regions. A new mysterious, sexy female agent has also been added to the mix to complement the intensity of SpyHunter 2’s fast-paced action.
