LOTR: The Return of the King Ships
Electronic Arts has begun shipping PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, PC and Game Boy Advance versions of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King to retailers around the country. Based on the film adaptation of the popular novel, the title will allow players to man Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Frodo and Sam as they attempt to destroy the One Ring once and for all by tossing it into the Crack of Doom. Over 200,000 production assets from the movie where used in the creation of the third-person action game. PS2 owners will be able to play the title’s 15 levels online in a two-player cooperative multiplayer mode. (XBL Screwed by EA again) EA’s Redwood Shores studios developed all versions save for the GBA, which was created by Amaze Entertainment. Rated “T” (Teen), console versions carry an MSRP of $49.99, while the PC and GBA products will sell for $39.99. The titles should be available to purchase on November 6.Source: http://www.ea.com
