Music Video Features Outlaw's Summer
Hollywood Records and videogame publisher Simon & Schuster Interactive announced today the Companies have teamed to produce the first music video for the rock band Diffuser. The video for "Get It On" will star XboxTM videogame characters 'Summer' and 'Ice Trey' who are known for their antics in "Outlaw Golf" and "Outlaw Volleyball." Directed by music video veteran Benno Nelson, "Get It On" will feature live action and in-game scenes of Summer and Ice Trey on the beach in Santa Monica. "Get It On" is the debut video from Diffuser's second album "Making The Grade" (available: July 15). The track can also be found on the forthcoming soundtrack to OUTLAW VOLLEYBALL (available: late July). "The idea of putting these characters in our video came from our love of videogames," said Peter Schojan, bassist for Diffuser. "Between Anthony (Cangelosi) and me, we play a ton of games for the Xbox. When we heard about Outlaw Volleyball we had to get our favorite characters in our video. Summer is a total babe and from what I've heard a devoted Diffuser groupie." The video for "Get It On" will begin airing on music television networks soon. "Game soundtracks are here," said Peter von Schlossberg, vice president of sales and marketing for Simon & Schuster Interactive. "All media is competing for the mind-share of the consumer. Movies only keep your attention for an hour and 50 minutes, however games potentially have you for 40 hours or more. This is the age of mixed media."Source: http://www.xboxaddict.com/
