Lotus Challege, Intense Driving Action

Thrill seekers get ready for the ride of your life as Xicat Interactive, Inc., a publisher of award-winning video games, announced that the video game Lotus Challenge will be available on the XboxTMvideo game system from Microsoft from Friday 21st March 2003. Lotus Challenge guarantees cutting edge simulation racing with the excitement of an arcade thriller. The game features licensed vehicles from the famous British sports car company Lotus. Included are the Esprit and the Lotus 7, as well as all the hottest new models such as the Elise and 340R, vintage classics, F1 Lotus Racing vehicles, and even super fast concept cars from Lotus Design. The game also features stunning graphics, exquisite lighting and weather effects, realistic damage modelling and a pumping soundtrack provided by cutting edge electronica/breakbeat artist Hybrid. As a driver for the Lotus team your driving skills are constantly tried and tested. Take part in a world class racing championship against other Lotus Team drivers from around the globe. Choose multiple paths through the game by mixing different gaming styles, camera angles and story lines – weave through oncoming traffic to escape a paparazzi, hill-climbs on treacherous, snowy alpine tracks, be filmed jumping over lines of traffic for adverts. Go on to secure your place as the Lotus Team Champion and take part in some serious Championship racing. Exciting features include:
  • 38 licensed Lotus cars span Lotus' prestigious 54-year racing history, from the Lotus Seven, Elan and Europa to the remarkable Elise and the 175mph Lotus Esprit as well as some of the most influential Formula One and Indy cars ever built
  • 5 game modes: Collection, Championship, Single Play, Multi-player and Challenge, which features a story line with races, stunts and missions
  • 28 different Races
  • 2 different Stunts/Challenges

Advanced real-time particle systems handle the life-like damage and weather effects. Projected shadows and the car's glistening headlights create a realistic nocturnal driving experience
  • The soundtrack for the game was created by UK electronica/breakbeat artist Hybrid and includes a brand new track Joyride as well as four new remixes of songs from their critically acclaimed album
  • An impact dynamics system allowing all cars to sustain full chassis damage - shattering windows and lights, bumps, dents, ruptures, scratches and even detachable wheels!
