Midtown Madness 3 Races Onto Streets in June
Microsoft Game Studios today announced that Midtown Madness 3, the over-the-top Xbox racing game, will skid onto store shelves in the United States on June 17, 2003. Midtown Madness 3, the first Xbox Live - enabled racer from Microsoft, provides gamers with madcap, non-stop racing and driving excitement in two of the worlds most fascinating cities: Paris and Washington, D.C. Midtown Madness 3, the latest in Microsoft Game Studios popular Midtown Madness franchise, allows gamers to get behind the wheel of more than 30 vehicles while competing in exciting race modes such as Blitz, Checkpoint and Cruise. With Xbox Live or System Link, racers will also be able to engage in four multiplayer game modes including Capture the Gold and Stayaway. With a robust Career mode featuring 14 driving careers, Midtown Madness 3 delivers the rush and excitement of street racing while challenging gamers to put their driving skills to the ultimate test. Midtown Madness 3 is being developed by Digital Illusions C.E. Xbox Live allows gamers to play multiplayer Xbox games with other gamers everywhere via a broadband connection. With a built-in hard drive and Ethernet port, the Xbox console is the only video game system built from the ground up for online gaming, negating the need to buy additional, costly peripherals or upgrades.
