Godzilla Is Coming To The Xbox
Infogrames let it be known today that Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee, Pipeworks Software's four-player chronicle of monster destruction, is porting out. An Xbox version of the "monster of monsters"' GameCube title is currently under development by Pipeworks and should be in stores this spring. Unlike a lot of other random console ports, the folks at Pipeworks are obviously trying hard to make the Xbox version of Godzilla an actual improvement over the original. One new monster (Mechagodzilla 3, the one from the most recent Godzilla movie) and two new arenas (the Vortaak's home world and a giant boxing ring) will appear as unlockable extras, and you'll now be able to enjoy four-player battles with the computer even if you're all by your lonesome—one of the more annoying issues of the original. (There's also a single-player Destruction Mode, should you simply want to lay waste to cities without dealing with other monsters). The graphics are getting the usual Xbox touch-up, too—bump mapping, better lighting, specular highlights, that sort of thing—and you'll be able to play ripped music off the hard drive if Toho's original soundtrack isn't good enough for you.Source: http://www.infogrames.com/
