Splinter Cell For The Holidays

Ubi Soft Canada and Xbox Canada join forces for launch of Splinter Cell this holiday season! Montreal, Canada- November 28, 2002 - Ubi Soft® Canada, Business, Sales and Marketing subsidiary for the whole territory, has teamed up with Xbox(tm) Canada to launch its latest Xbox video game, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell. As part of the launch, a joint advertising campaign is being launched across Canada. TV spots will be aired on different channels, across a range of networks. The TV campaign kicked off on November 25th and will remain on air for 4 weeks. The campaign is expected to reach 75% of Xbox Canada’s target demographic. Olivier Ernst, General Manager for Ubi Soft Canada, commented, ’’I really appreciate the amazing support offered to us by the Xbox Canada team. Splinter Cell is a perfect example of how a third party title can push the sales of Xbox hardware.’’ Ryan Mugford, Group Marketing Manager, Xbox Canada, was equally enthusiastic, "Splinter Cell is receiving some of the highest reviews ever received by an Xbox game and it is a ’must-have’ title this holiday season. We’re delighted that Ubisoft is developing the game exclusively for Xbox!" Developed at Ubi Soft Entertainment Montreal studios, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell is a third-person stealth action game featuring cyber-terrorism, shadow agencies, and covert operations, and is set in the realistic, highly detailed geopolitical universe as portrayed by Tom Clancy. In Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, the player controls Sam Fisher, a field operative of a secretive "black-ops" NSA sub-agency called Third Echelon. Sam Fisher is geared up to infiltrate high-security strongholds, seize critical intelligence, destroy threatening data and neutralise the enemy - all without leaving a trace.
