Tony Hawk 4 Goes Gold
Activision Inc.’s upcoming sequel to the popular Tony Hawk franchise has gone gold and will ship to stores on October 23. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 will be released on an astounding six platforms, PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, Game Boy Advance, PS one and even a wireless version, aimed at users of next-generation mobile phones. This year’s version for the PlayStation 2 will incorporate online play, allowing users to compete ion modes like Goal Attack and Capture the Flag. A pre-order initiative launched for the game on October 3. Those who order the title from Electronics Boutique, GameStop or Best Buy will receive a limited-edition DVD. Activision will support the title by unleashing its largest marketing campaign in history, which will include demo kiosks at major retail outlets and a full slate of national television, print and online advertising.
