Gavin Raeburn Talks About Pro Race Driver
X-boxed has popped up an interview with the Producer of Pro Race Driver, Gavin Raeburn. The Q&A covers Race Driver's unique story aspects as well as the game's damage modeling and physics engine. Here's a taste:XBD: The story of Pro Race Driver seems to be split into two separate parts: the core story that every player will encounter, and a flexible sub-story that sounds dependent on the gamer`s actions. Could you please explain both? Gavin: The story itself is revealed as you hit certain gates within the main championship structure, such as achieving the correct number of points to enter the next tier, or by completing a set number of championships. The sub story is not so much a story, but a visible indicator as to how you are progressing within the game, as well as giving you a chance to see and learn a bit more about the game characters. For example, let`s say you accept an offer to race in the Southern European Challenge for one the managers, Paulie Satriale. You will then see and hear Paulie giving you your targets for the season, and you will then see him at the end of the season to say whether or not you have met his criteria. Along the way, you may have received an overall podium finish in the championship, which means a Pro Race Driver will challenge you to a head-to-head race. If you beat him, you can take his car. Mixed in with the main story, this leads to a very unique and personal experience for every player."
