Seablade an Xbox Exclusive
The folks at Simon & Schuster are working hard on their debut Xbox title Outlaw Golf, which is set to release pretty soon in Spring of 2002. So with the upcoming release of Outlaw Golf right around the corner, Simon & Schuster Interactive is letting it be known that the company is already working on a second title exclusively for the Xbox video game entitled Seablade, which will release shortly after Outlaw Golf in Fall 2002.Seablade is being developed by veteran game developer Vision-Scape, Inc., developers of Everquest and Might and Magic VI. In Seablade, gamers will fly around in the sky and dive below water in a futuristic spacecraft capable of both objectives, with the goal of battling insidious warlords overrunning the northern hemisphere in the year 2350. The futuristic environment bears little resemblance to the past, for a massive subterranean earthquake known as the "Ring of Fire Cataclysm" slammed the Pacific Ocean floor with the impact of 200 hydrogen bombs, and caused a number of other cataclysms. For example, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and tsunamis of biblical proportions have brought the planet to an apocalypse. Hell, the ice sheet of Greenland has been melted! Now you know what the cause of the tsunamis are, ocean levels around the planet have been radically altered... making a water world...
Players can play in a team of up to 4, and adventure over nine levels of story-driven gameplay. This game sounds like one of the few entertaining Xbox games we have forward to look to. And coming from a developer like Vision-Scape, with their portfolio and expertise, we can expect something truly immersive and graphically rich.
