TransWorld Surf Interview
The good folks over at Games Domain had the chance to interview Luis Gigliotti of Angel Studios about their Xbox surfing game TransWorld Surf.
LG: Incredibly detailed. We had the pro surfers come in and all of them were able to recognise the breaks right away. We did take some creative freedom when adding props to the levels though. That only seemed to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal.
GD: Did you model the 3D boarders movement and actions on any real-life surfers?
LG: Yes. On top of hours of video footage on every surfer we had them come into the studio as well. Having pros like Dan Malloy and Tim Curran sitting next to our animator all day was an invaluable experience.
GD: How detailed are the ten real-life locations recreated for the game?
