Digital Bridges to Distribute DOTC

Burlingame, CA – November 26, 2001: Cinemaware, Inc., a leading developer of interactive entertainment software, today announced its partnership with Digital Bridges Ltd. for the release of the WAP adaptation of the Cinemaware classic, Defender of the Crown!

Partnering with Digital Bridges allows gamers all over the world to play their favorite Cinemaware classic on cell phones and other WAP-enabled devices. Mobile gamers will have to keep their wits about them as they struggle to free the people of England from beneath the yoke of a tyrant. But the quest is fraught with peril – players must command their armies upon the battlefield, lay siege to enemy strongholds, compete in tournaments of chivalry and raid enemy castles in their attempt to restore order to the kingdom. Relying on their old friend, Robin Hood, gamers will have to amass armies, control lands and make wise decisions as one false step could cost them the Crown! Eliminate the enemy lords who plot against you and restore the Crown, no matter where you are, all from the WAP device of your choice!

Defender of the Crown was originally released in 1986 on the Amiga platform and was met with both critical and commercial praise. The landmark title was eventually ported to a variety of platforms where it sold over 1 million copies.

Developed by Atomic Planet (www.atomic-planet.com), the WAP enabled version of Defender of the Crown introduces the traditional Cinemaware style of play to audiences all over the world. WAP users will now be able to experience the magical experience of a true Cinemaware classic.

"We were really excited when we partnered with Atomic Planet to develop Defender of the Crown WAP, and we’re equally excited to be working with Digital Bridges to distribute this updated classic." commented Mr. Lars Batista, CEO of Cinemaware Inc. “Digital Bridges is a leader in the WAP marketplace, and like Cinemaware, is committed to quality products. We couldn’t have picked a better partner.”

Brian Greasley, the CEO of Digital Bridges, said, “Digital Bridges has an unparalleled reputation for publishing innovative and enjoyable wireless entertainment titles. Defender of the Crown has a unique history and is a valuable addition to our catalogue of games.”
