Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Sells a Whole Lot of Copies Worldwide
So, if you have been under a rock the last 10 days, then you might not know that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, a new IP published by Activision, hit consoles (and PC), including the Xbox One, during that time, and it seems to have sold VERY well. Even amid all the social media debate about the game not having an easy mode, or that it is not accessible for everyone because of such an omission.
Regardless of the aforementioned debate, it was proudly announced that the game hit the top of the charts. It was also pointed out that it was given “Must-Play” status on Metacritic, something that doesnt happen a lot. With that being said, the game has sold over 2 Million copies worldwide.
Even more stats for you crazy people out there. On launch day, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was the #1 viewed game on Twitch. With more than 631 million minutes watched on Twitch during launch weekend, it was as if players could not get enough of the intense combat and thrilling opportunity to escape death. The game also had 1.1 billion minutes watched on Twitch within one week.
