Star Trek Online is Bring the Age of Discovery to Consoles
Hey Trekkies, soon Star Trek Online players on console, which includes the Xbox One, will be able to board the U.S.S. Glenn and explore the exciting universe of Star Trek: Discovery for free.
The first installment of the multi-part adventure, Age of Discovery, is scheduled to launch on consoles on November 13. The newest update to the free-to-play Star Trek MMORPG allows players to create a Federation Captain from the popular CBS All Access television series, Star Trek: Discovery, and set out on their first mission with Cadet Sylvia Tilly (voiced by Mary Wiseman from the show). Age of Discovery’s first chapter also introduces a brand new Discovery tutorial, two episodes, a streamlined mission journal, added Reputation Tiers, a new Task Force Operation and other new gameplay features.
The game’s new update, Age of Discovery, unlocks the level requirement for all missions and the new streamlined mission journal helps navigate through content to identify the game’s most important storylines. In addition, fans of Star Trek: Discovery can become a part of the show and team up with Tilly to battle the Klingon, led by J’Ula, sister of T’Kuvma and matriarch of the House of Mo’Kai.
The November update is just the beginning for Age of Discovery, which will continue to bring Star Trek Online players even more Discovery content over the coming year (Check out the game’s upcoming content roadmap for 2018/2019).
