Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker Release Date Cofirmed
Naruto fans can circle August 31st on their calendar as the next game based on the anime, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, is slated to be unleashed to the public on August 31st.
Along with the release date announcement, it was announced that two fan-favorite characters are officially joining the fray: Gaara, the 5th Kazekage, and Deidara, the artist of the Akatsuki.
Gaara, a defense type character, uses his Grand Sand Mausoleum attack to restrict opponents for a limited time, creating openings for his teammates. Deidara, a ranged type, uses his signature Explosive Style ninjutsu to turn his clay clones into deadly ticking time bombs. Inaddition to using Gaara, Deidara and other iconic characters from the series, players will also be able to personalize their own avatar with different costumes, weapons and accessories.
Two new game modes were also announced, Flag Battles and Barrier Battles. In Flag Battles, players can prove they have the stealth to be a shinobi by stealing the enemys flag while defending their own. The team with the most flag captures, of course, wins. The other mode, Barrier Battles, has ninjas proving their strategic mettle by simultaneously fighting for control of three barrier areas. It is said that each level has their own unique terrain that players can use to their tactical advantage. The team that controls the most areas at the end of the match wins.
