Predator and Jason Vorhees among Mortal Kombat X's guest characters
Outed (recently) in a product description on the Xbox Games Store, Predator is officially confirmed as a DLC character for Mortal Kombat X, along with three others seen in this video. There are a bunch of other skins available, including Carl Weathers. Yes, really.
First up is Jason Vorhees, the uber-antagonist of the Friday the 13th slasher-flick series; then comes Tanya and Tremor, both of whom had limited appearances in the 2011 Mortal Kombat release (Tanya with a cameo only; Tremor on the PS Vita editions Challenge Tower only.)
And then theres Preds.
The Predator first appeared in the 1987 movie Predator, in which the future governors of two states (and a third unsuccessful candidate for the office) hunt an alien lifeform known as The Predator. A news release said The Predator stars in "The Predator/Prey Pack" that includes The Predator as a playable character, along with Predator-themed skins Commando Johnny (Cage), Infrared Scorpion, and "Carl Weathers as Jax."
Weathers was, heh, disarmed in the original flick, so one can only imagine what his fatality/brutality might look like.
Vorhees "Ultimate Horror Pack" includes the Vampiress Mileena, Kraken Reptile and Pharaoh Ermac skins; Tanyas "The Klassic Pack No. 1" has "klassic" skins for Kano, Sonya and Liu Kang. Tremors "The Klassic Pack No. 2" includes skins for Quan Chi, Jax and Kung Lao.
Mortal Kombat X will be released April 14 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. Last week, Warner Bros. delayed the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions to this summer.
