DICE: Battlefield 4 Xbox One Naval Strike DLC is back on, today!
Naval Strike, the third expansion for Battlefield 4, is rolling out to Battlefield Premium members on Xbox One, according to an updated post on the Battlefield blog.
Slated to launch across PC and consoles March 25 for Premium members, developer EA DICE delayed the Xbox One release earlier this week "to address issues in the animation system that hinder players from engaging targets in set circumstances using popular weapon configurations."
The expansion was also pushed back for Windows PC due to an issue discovered by EA DICE, saying "quality is our number one priority and we will not release Battlefield 4 Naval Strike on PC until we feel it meets the highest quality level possible." According to a previous update, the developer was aiming to launch the delayed downloadable content early next month on both PC and Xbox One.
The developer also began rolling out an Xbox One update to coincide with the expansions release. The update consists of numerous general fixes, improvements to the netcode and additions to the games progression perks. The roll out integrates aircraft, vehicle, grenade, weapon and gadget tweaks. The changelog can can read in full on the official Battlelog forum.
Naval Strike features dynamic weather patterns, four nautical-themed maps, a new game mode, along with a new vehicle, the two-seater ACV hovercraft. The new Carrier Assault mode, a homage to the Titan mode of Battlefield 2142, is a two-stage battle set in the South China Sea.
