Titanfall Season Pass will cost $25, won't be 'cross-platform-buy'
The Titanfall season pass will cost $24.99 and will consist of three map packs, developer Respawn Entertainment announced today.
Studio head Vince Zampella confirmed Titanfall DLC yesterday.
According to the studio, that price represents a discount of $5, or more than 16 percent, over purchasing the three DLC packs separately. The add-ons wont just include maps, but Respawn said in a blog post today that "all other content is still to be determined and will be announced as we get closer to their release."
The season pass will be available for all three versions of Titanfall — Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One — and buying it on a particular platform will only get you the DLC packs on that platform. "If you purchase the Season Pass for Xbox One, it will allow you access to the three individual content packs for Xbox One only," Respawn explained. Battlefield Premium for Battlefield 4 works the same way.
Pre-order customers for the PC version of Titanfall can save $5 if theyre interested in the season pass. Publisher Electronic Arts is now selling a Digital Deluxe Edition of the game on Origin for $79.99 that includes the season pass; that package isnt available on Xbox 360 or Xbox One. The season pass wont be available for purchase until Titanfalls respective release dates on Xbox consoles: March 11 for Xbox One and March 25 for Xbox 360.
