Murdered: Soul Suspect gets June release date, pricing, pre-order swag
Murdered: Soul Suspect, the ghostly mystery thriller from Airtight Games, will be released June 3 in North America on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, publisher Square Enix announced today.
The game will be available June 6 in Europe.
Murdered: Soul Suspect plays out like a point-and-click adventure game in a 3D world, with the protagonist, detective Ronan OConnor, investigating his own death. The story takes place in Salem, Mass., which lives in infamy for the witch trials that took place there at the end of the 17th century.
Square Enix began posting teases related to the "Mark of Salem" on Twitter last month, and the accounts latest tweet points to a mysterious website of the same name. A puzzle game is afoot, it would seem.
Update: Murdered: Soul Suspect will cost $59.99 on PS4 and Xbox One, and $49.99 on PS3, PC and Xbox 360, according to a press release from Square Enix. Individuals who pre-order the game in the U.S. from participating retailers — which include Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target and Walmart — will receive an interactive digital map that will be accessible on computers and tablets.
