Wii U SC: Blacklist offline co-op omission confirms Xbox 360 inclusion
Yet another high-profile multi-platform release is losing a key feature on Wii U. The Nintendo home console version of Splinter Cell: Blacklist will lack offline co-op play, relegating the mode to online-only.
"In order to ship at the same time as the other consoles, we unfortunately werent able to delve into this feature," producer Liu Jun told Nintendo Life (via Eurogamer). "But we think Nintendo gamers will be really excited to get the game at the same time as other consoles."
Online play will work similarly to the other consoles, including co-op chat supported through the GamePad, and downloadable content is planned to hit Wii U just like the other consoles as well. Its an odd omission for the console seemingly most targeted at "couch co-op," but as weve seen recently, developers are tending to cut Wii U features before other platforms.
