Battlefield 4 may allow stats transfer from current-gen to next
Battlefield 4 developer EA DICE is "investigating" the possibility of allowing players to transfer progression and statistics from current-generation versions of the game to next-generation versions, according to the games official Twitter account.
"Weve heard reports that players would like their stats and progression to transfer from current to next-gen in [Battlefield 4]. Were investigating," reads the tweet.
Asked for more details, a representative for the studio told Polygon that theres "not much to provide beyond the tweet" at this point.
Electronic Arts announced earlier this week that two of its upcoming cross-generation titles, Madden NFL 25 and FIFA 14, will allow players to take content from the games Ultimate Team modes and transfer it from Xbox 360 to Xbox One and from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4.
Battlefield 4 will be released Oct. 29 on Windows PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. It will be a launch title on PS4 and Xbox One.
