Forza 4 Now Offers Season Pass
Another DLC Season Pass has been announced, this one for Forza Motorsport 4.
It will be available alongside the game at launch for 2,400 Microsoft Points ($29.99) on the Xbox Live Marketplace, as well as at Best Buy, GameStop, and other retail stores. Buying it grants access to six DLC packs being released between this November and April 2012. The $29.99 price offers a 30 percent discount over buying the DLC individually at their normal prices.
If this all sounds very familiar, its because Gears of War 3 is doing something very similar with a $30 Season Pass that grants a discount over buying the DLC on its own. The similarities are due to Microsoft being the publisher of both games; this may be a recurring thing for first-party Xbox 360 games going forward.
Specifics on most of the DLC werent revealed, though we know it will consist of 60 new cars at the very least. There are plans for a DLC pack -- the American Muscle car pack -- to be released on day one alongside the game; buying the Season Pass grants access to it as an added bonus. Included are the following cars: 1965 Pontiac GTO, 1968 Pontiac Firebird, 1970 Buick GSX, 1970 Dodge Cornet Super Bee, 1966 Chevrolet Nova SS, 1969 Shelby GT500 428CJ, 1971 Plymouth GTX 426 Hemi, 1967 Dodge Cornet W023, 1968 Dodge Dart HEMI Super Stock, and 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt.
Todays announcement also notes that the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is among the tracks in Forza 4.
A Forza 4 demo is planned for release on October 3 for Xbox Live Gold members. Non-Gold members will get it on October 7.
