Valve isnt Showing Any Games at E3
Valve wont be showing off any of its games at this years E3.
In an e-mail sent out to the press today regarding E3 appointments, the developer delivered the news quite simply. "Lots of folks have mailed asking about appointment times, etc., with Valve," the e-mail reads. "Well, we are not showing any titles at this years show. So no appointment is needed."
Coming off Portal 2s release last month, there had not been any specific indication that it was coming, but there had been hope that Valve would finally reveal the next Half-Life title. Following Half-Life 2, Valve began releasing games in an episodic format to reduce the amount of time between releases. After a 16-month gap between Half-Life 2: Episode One and Episode Two, its been more than three-and-a-half-year wait for the next game to be shown. So, unless Valve is planning to surprise everyone by throwing us off its tracks now, Episode Three will have to continue to wait.
We know one project Valve has in development is a sequel to Defense of the Ancients, Dota 2. Some concept art made the rounds earlier this year after a fan and then members of the press visited Valves headquarters, but it remains unknown if any of it is for an upcoming game.
