Gears Of War Kinect Project Rumored To Be On-Rails
We’ve heard plenty of rumors about Epic supposedly working on a new Gears of War game with Kinect capabilities, but the latest anonymous source is saying that this title will be an on-rails shooter.
This rumor comes via a source talking to Kotaku, who stated that movement in the game will be entirely on rails rather than controlled by players. The source also said that the version of the game he or she saw seemed to be using some of the assets and events from Gears of War 2, suggesting that it could at least partially be a retelling of previous events in the franchise.
A couple of weeks ago, we heard that Epic had trademarked Gears of War: Exile, which may or may not be the name of this supposed Kinect spin-off for the series. We’ll keep our ears to the ground for any confirmation of the project’s existence either way.
