Platinum Games Working on Fifth Game for Sega
Platinum Games has completed its four game contract with Sega; but the studio founded by Hideki Kamiya and company wont be moving on anytime soon.
Sega executive vice president of sales Alan Pritchard recently told Game Informer that Platinum will be developing a fifth game with the publisher. Platinum executive producer Atsushi Inaba previously confirmed that the studio was in talks with Sega about expending their partnership.
Platinum previously developed Bayonetta, Infinite Space, MadWorld and Vanquish for Sega. Pritchard didnt offer any detalis beyond confirmation that a game is in development; but Platinums stated commitment to new IPs suggests that it is unlikely to be a sequel.
Platinums most recent game is Vanquish, which released on Xbox 360. Sega has said it is "reasonably encouraged" by sales so far.
