Co-Op Support Dated for Lara Croft
Online cooperative play was originally scheduled to be included with Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light when it was first released in August. Rather than delay the entire game, that one feature was to ship in September, though it didnt make that date, either. Crystal Dynamics has finally announced on Twitter a firm release date for a patch adding in online co-op: October 27.
That date unfortunately will only apply to the 360 version of the game; players on both PC and PlayStation 3 will have to continue to wait. The tweet mentions those two versions are "coming later, stay tuned."
On the bright side, at least for 360 gamers that will be able to begin playing the game cooperatively online next Wednesday, is that the games first downloadable content pack will be released for free "to say thanks for your patience."
No date was provided for the first DLC pack. We know there will be five in total, with two being character packs and the other three adding more substantial content, like new levels and puzzles.
