Lara Croft online co-op delayed, DLC revealed
Square Enix has delayed Lara Croft and the Guardian of Lights online co-op mode, but sweetened the bad news by revealing plans to launch five DLC packs between October and December.
Online co-op was due to launch on September 28 alongside the PS3 and PC versions of the well received downloadable title, but a press release issued today said players will have to wait until "a later date" for the functionality.
A spokesperson for developer Crystal Dynamics told Joystiq that the Xbox 360 versions online co-op will go live via a title update "in the very near future". Sounds like a staggered launch to us.
In better news, the game will get five DLC packs this year across all formats. The first three are expansions featuring new areas, puzzles and combat experiences, while the others are playable character packs, giving you the chance to ditch Lara and Totec and step into the shoes of new adventurers.
