Turok: Evolution
Overall: I am a big Turok fan...loved Turok, Turok 2, and even Rage Wars. I lost my excitement for Turok because of Turok 3. This game for me combines the best elements of Turok 1 & 2. Turok Rocks again!Gameplay: This one has a ton of gameplay strong points. Good weapon selection with 15. Nice level design with a variety of environments. Decent enemy AI. The controls are well done but could use more options for customization. Aiming is responsive but it is hard to hit with a couple of weapons without auto-aim on.
Graphics: Overall very easy on the eyes. Some spectacular visuals like the animation for the Rocket Launcher, the ambient wildlife in the jungle, enemy reactions after being hit with a poison arrow. Some visuals though seemed like they needed more attention. 2D plants on the outer edges, flat textures in some places. A mixed bag visually.
Audio: Very nice sound...great theme music. I love the sound of the Tek Bow string when you shoot an arrow. Decent character voices. Walking sound effect is a little clunky.
Suggestions: Please, please, please consider adding three things to the next Xbox Turok...System Link, Bots for Multi-player, and two player Co-op mode.
