Turok: Evolution
Overall: It's Turok. It's all about hunting and destroying anythin in your path. But it's has a very interesting stealth aspect to it and will at time make you think about if you should go in guns blazing, or pick your foes off one at a time.
Gameplay: The biggest problem I had with the game was the lack of customizing you could do with your controller. I'm spoiled by Halo and it took me sometime to get use to the set up. But once I did, and fix the horizontal and vertical speed, I was in pure bliss. Ok, there are times when the enemies will get the drop on you, cheaply. But when those happened early and not often. When it comes to the game, it's fun. I never spent so time trying to figure out how to go about the mission before I even take my first step. There are times when so much stuff happens you can lose your step, but that makes the game fun. It gets really quiet and one slip-up, BAM! You're swarmed. The AI can be good, to "What is he thinking about." But make no mistake, it's good. Get to know your weapons. I have my fav, but all the weapons are usefull. I have a problem with the jumping around. Some people complained about the first two levels, explore and get to know the game. You'll need it.
Graphics: It's not "Halo-killer." It's not suppose to be. It's Turok. I find the graphics good. I find the bushes a bit "pixxy," but nowhere near enough to halt the fun in the game. There is tons of blood and guts, but you can turn this off. This isn't the selling point of the game. It's beautiful, the countryside is. And the indoor chapters are well done. If you can find some quiet-time, take a look around.
Audio: When a bullet comes flying towards you, you will know. Everything sounds good. this is the better parts of the game.
Suggestions: Configure the controller to any's style of play!! That's my biggest complaint. I straff with my right thumbstick. Think about it.
