True Crime: Streets Of L.A.
Overall: Lets start off by saying i disliked gta for one reason and one reason only, the story did not catch my attention, i had no motivation to do the missions, i had alot of fun just driving around aimlessly killing people. but come on folks that gets tiring after awhile..i mean you can kill so many innocent bystanders before you ask yourself why you are playing it.
now... true crime ... from the opening scene with christopher walken's narration you are instantly drawn into the story. and thats what a single player game is all about..drawing you into a story. this is when true crime becomes more than gta.
true crime is gta and more...it has every element of gta and whole lot of other stuff
Gameplay: the gameplay does have its fair share of problems. the camera for one is terrible. its very hard to control and you get the feeling that their could have been more time put into the camera than taking pictures of houses on a street. the rpg style is great, being able to upgrade your moves is pure genius! it makes you want to unlock all of the moves you can get.
driving is spot on...a great feel of control, and tell me whats better than driving down the street and in slow motion shooting and send a car exploding in the air front over end in a ball of fire and smoke!
fighting is also genius. the kungfu move look great.
Graphics: the graphics are not great..but they do the job. the light reflections are nice looking at night. the cutscenes could have been better aswell.
Audio: you can't say enough about the sound. the soundtrack fits the story well...even though rap is not my favorite genre.
the voice acting is superb. having christopher walken say stuff like.. yo slick, you rock. really makes you feel like your in the story.
Suggestions: cutscene improvments, longer story, fix the camera during shooting areas.
