True Crime: Streets Of L.A.
Overall: A bit of a Grand theft auto clone. I feel rather jipped. I feel as if this is just a game that the developers slopped together in hurry just to simply feed off an already popular common interest that has arose do to GTA. Which would be ok, if they put a little more time into it, but I don't feel they did. The X-box is an incredibly powerful system and is capable of doing a lot more than what this game gave us, Small things such as there only seeming to be about 6-8 different civilian characters that just repeated themselves, there only seems to be few cars that are cycled through over and over, bushes are reminiscent of the nintendo 64's rush by looking like 2 2d boards crossing each other, etc.etc. Bottome line--- If your a fan of GTA and are becoming bored with 3 and VC buy this game it will entertain.
Gameplay: Is it better than GTA? Well yeah actually, I think so. Controls- (altough tough to get used to) are better than GTA, it is much easier to both fight and aim, driving handles better and is a funner experience. Its got a good story and can be quite fun for awhile, and certain quircks that might have bothered you before such dying after touching water will not occur in this game.
Graphics: ugh. There is nothing special about this game visually. I don't understand why with such an incredible and powerful system one might pass up an oppurtunity to take advantage of it and make something attractive.
Audio: This, I feel, is where the game shines. throughout the game characters will interact with you audibly. If your standing in a crowd of people and you pull out a gun and start shooting they will begin to run and you'll here people shout things like "Man, what the fu---!" or "AH, Shiznit" or "Hot diggity- !&%$@#* I gotta get out of here!" The music is nothing special but the voices make up for that in my book.
Suggestions: Try a little harder next time rather attempting to make a quick buck.
