Elder Scrolls III : Morrowind
Overall: An RPG that finaly lets players choose what to do and what not to do. Whether you become an evil villan of become a well know warrior or whether you simplily sit in the corner na dmake potions is up to the player.
Gameplay: At the start of the game it can be a bit slow but once players have "found their feet" it quickly picks up speed. There are many factions to join and a whole island to explore, players will not put down the controler for a while. In the game the player has a choice of eithe rplaying in 1st or 3rd person.
At times the combat can be clumsy and game play quite boring as you are send by your guild leader to some place in the middle of nowhere and you have no choice but to walk from the nearest town, which can take over an hour. Also people remember you so if you make a shop keeper early in the game annoyed don't expect him or her to be friendly later on.
Graphics: Players can become lost in this beautifuly crafted world as their are weather effect such as rain. But it is still just a game and objects do sometimes "clip into" each other.
Audio: The background music can be repeditive for some players and others may love it. Personaly I like the music.
Suggestions: Players should be able to mount.
Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Kung Fu Chaos
Overall: A fun little game that is a parody of almost evey Kung fu/ Karate film ever made. Levels mainly fall apart around you so you have to be alert at all times.
Gameplay: The objectives of the levels are basically the same for every level but each level has different surprises that you must master or it is Bye-Bye for you character. At the start of the game you have only 6 characters to choose from but there are 3 others to unlock. Also each character has "Super Moves" which spell certain death for almost all of your enemies.
The combos and moves are quiet simple and players will find them almost too easy to master.
Multiplayer fights and mini-games are chaotic and never get boring.
Graphics: This game doesn't really challenge the X-Box's graphical capabilities but yet again it doesn't really need to.
Audio: Umm... Yes... Not that greater sound but you don't really notice it when you are focusing on killing your enemies.
Overall Score: 9.0 / 10 Amped: Freestyle Snowboarding
Overall: An addictive game that lets you ride on some of the best mountains as you've got snow all year round. Which is a bonus for us Aussies as we don't get snow. :(. Start your career as a local rider and work your way up. It sounds simple enough but it isn't. With each step your rider gets better, making for an easier life. With over 100 challenges to complete in you career mode and then you have the good old high scores to beat. Then comes multi-player, which is a bit dissapointing for an Xbox game, but hey it's still fun! BTW: Multi-player is played by going one at a time, that is why it is dissapointing. But all up this is a great game and well worth the price as it is now in the Xbox classics list!
Gameplay: Every player gets that urge to learn all the ways down the mountain and master all the tricks. If you are one of these players you're in luck. There are plenty of mountains to choose from and many tricks to pull off. It plays smoothly but can occationaly get frustrating when all you seem to do is smash into poles and trees.
Graphics: Great grafics and the backgrounds look reaistic, so do the trees. Another thing to notice is that nice snow that is flying up behind you board.
Audio: The soundtracks that come with the game stink. But you can however put on your own music, that you've put onto your hard-drive, while you play Amped.
Suggestions: Better multiplayer would be nice, i.e. Split Screen or even multiple people going down the one mountain on live or system link.
