True Crime: Streets Of L.A.
Overall: First of all I've been waiting for this game for quite some time now. Now that its out I had to go get it. True Crime is a great game with nice graphics. When others compare it To the GTA series, I just don't see it other than the fact that you drive around killing people and solving missions. I think its better. The car chases are tight. You'd never get this out of GTA. The numerous missions with different outcomes are a plus. It dosen't matter if you fail a mission or not. You chose your own path. This is what every action game needs. Following a linear story gets so dull and boring and makes a game not worth 49.99. (maybe 39.99. like old times) but overall this game is great. I din't know why people don't like it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and thats all well and good. Gameplay: The game play is cool. The controls take some getting used to, but hey, thats with every game you buy. I really like the way the story unfolds and how what you do can affect the outcome of the game. This really adds to the replay value. I hate games where it dosen't take but a couple days to finish it. What a waste of money. I think the car chases are what they should be. I don't like the good cop/bad cop thing. They could have left that one out. The shooting is ok. It needs work in a few areas but overall its cool. I love the fact that have a real live detailed city.
Graphics: The graphics for this game are sweet.The detailed city of L.A. shows that a lot of hard work went into this game.I don't see why some people don't like them. they don't appear to look choppy or nothing to me. They could have pushed the power of the xbox to its limits. They always say how much processing power it has, and how the graphics chip is so much better than PS2. If so, then why do xbox and ps2 games almost look the same. Other than this the game is looking pretty.
Audio: The sounds are great. I love that West Coast Rap Soundtrack. On top of that I can throw some of my own music in there. It dosen't get any better than that.
Suggestions: FOR PART TWO. IF THERE IS ONE. MAKE IT IN A DIFFERENT CITY. I'M SO SICK OF SEEING THE SAME OLD CITIES BEING PORTRAYED IN VIDEO GAMES. CREATE DETROIT,MICHIGAN. I'D LOVE TO SEE THAT ONE!!!!!
