Azurik: Rise of Perathia

Overall: I was excited more than ever when this game came out. I thought, "Awesome, Xbox has already come out with their own Zelda Games." I was wrong. I played this game for a couple of hours and had accomplished nothing, but find out how to die and move around. This game is an ok game if you can figure out where you are supposed to go and what you are supposed to do there.

Gameplay: I found the controls to be simple to learn and I was able to continually create new weapons/armor from the assortment of different powers. The enemies in this weren't that threatening looking, but packed almost too much punch. If this game had a little bit more storytelling and direction (not as much as the obvious Agent Under Fire) then it would have pulled me into the game slightly more. I was stuck running around... well around.

Graphics: The graphics are rather amazing. I could see the changing in light when the sun rose and set. The transition from outdoor to indoor to indoor/outdoor areas was superb. Eventhough, the game seemed more interested in having all of the different types of climates and weather than it made sense, I found this game to be more visually appealing than Artic Thunder and some other I will not mention.

Audio: The music was good... sometimes. I wish there was more of a variety, but alas we can't get everything. The sound effects were on target, but they were missing something. It didn't pull me into the game all too much.

Suggestions: Give me some direction and I shall follow, give me some guidance and I shall learn, give me some help and I will win.
