Overall: A unique game that delivered more action than every other FPS games. With the fighting sytem added, this is just more than a shooter.
Gameplay: You play as a soldier who wake up in a scientist lab, no where to found what happen until a girl named Alex save you from some super soldiers. At that time, you are not ready to fight them but after that, when you acquire some powerups in your body, time to clean out some soldiers. There are also weapons which you can use against the normal soldiers but the fun is in the fighting system that Namco has implanted in the game. Fighting in a first-view is rather difficulty since you can't see what happen behind but you will get used to it after a hour or so. And this game is DIFFICULT, more than anyting you could imagine.
Graphics: The visual isn't the top one but are great compare to most FPS game. You can see it's always as 30 fps wihtout a frame drops.
Sound: Well, there are not really music in this game except the intro soundtrack but i understand about that.
Suggestions: A sequel is needed with more weapons to choose and maybe coop-mode which will be so great. :)

Overall: xbox exclusives are consistently brilliant, with halo, halo2, pgr2, links, topspin, chronicles of riddick.... the list goes on, but that list stops very abrubtly at a certain xbox exclusive called breakdown. well one bad apple wont spoil the bunch, but this bad apple has stopped what was a continous cycle of great xbox exclusives... and really it is a pity.
Gameplay: they tried something RAD, they ended up with something BAD... breakdown is a first person shooter, but everything you see... that is cutscenes, fighting sequences... absolutly everything is from a first person view, and i actually liked the idea... but it was executed badly, and just gets complicated and confusing.
punching in 1st person is awkward, unlike chronicles of riddicks 1st person punching system which is great... levels are all very repetative, and indoor areas are tight and all hallways and passages are almost identical.
breakdown should really have had great gameplay... but there is no point in focussing on what it SHOULD have had... we should just focus on what it has... and the truth is, it just does not have enough. dont expect a sequel any time soon... not that you would want one.

Graphics: visually average, but there is too few reactive textures, too much mapped textures and there is an absence of BMP mapping... which is a shame since the xbox exectes the effect so well... this is really not how an xbox exclusive should look, ps2 could probably run this with no problem.
Sound: repetative, boring... but not bad... but you dont expect music to your ears... really sound is just average... a bit like the game.
Suggestions: if you plan on making any xbox exclusives make them as good as the ones that have come before.
and just a reminder: the xbox does actually have a good nvidia graphics card... USE IT

Overall: An interesting idea with some good animations and voice acting. Graphics are pretty average. Gameplay is diverse, but not well optimized, and doesn't feel like a modern game.

I suggest you pass this game by, don't rent it either.
Gameplay: Interesting concepts behind the gameplay, but actually "playing" the game isn't that much fun, the game mechanics don't allow for a "fun" gameplay experiance (IMO). There are some really neat plot twists and all, and some very orignal aspects to the story but i didn't find it that entertaining, mainly because this game feels like it was made for gamers back in 1996, when games were still learning to be made well.
Graphics: Some cool effets here and there, textures suck in general, but the character models are acceptable. Some XBox exclusive effects, but nothing mind boggling. Pretty average at best.
Sound: Good voice acting, decent sound effects. The music is adrenalline pumping, but can become annoying.
