Overall: I bought this game mainly for two reasons. Firstly because, although I'm not a huge fan of the series, I've always loved the ships involved on the show and have always thought it would be really cool to fly them. I was right. Flying the Colonial vipers in dogfights against the Cylons is as cool as I thought it would be. Secondly I've been dying to play a decent xbox sci-fi starship shooter. So I thought, "what the hell! I'll give it a shot". I'm glad I did because Battlestar Galactica is not only fun to play and is ten times better than those crappy star wars space fighters it also has pretty decent graphics. The game's story is pretty straight forward and linear so dont expect anything to new or outstanding but it's fun overall.
Gameplay: You play as young Adama which is cool in a prequel sort of way. Piloting differnt types of colonial Vipers against the ruthless Cylon forces. Ship control is fairly easy to pick up and use but it does take a while to get super comfortable and know when to roll your ship in an effective manner. Once you do though the game becomes very cool to play. Power boosting (this is used a lot during the game and really adds to the manuevering of the ship and its attack patterns) is well...a blast!
Graphics: I really like the visuals in this game. I like that you can veiw your ship from 4 different positions and can postion the camera around the ship. Ship detail is very important to me so I'm glad they got this right. Explosions are good but not incredible like those in Mechassault.
Sound: Very cool. I've always liked the theme to Battlestar Galactica so I dont mind it playing while your fighting. The battlechatter is okay but can get a bit repetitive after awhile. Explosions and weapons sound great. Good job overall.
Suggestions: Good job to the developers. Try making another shooter like this for the Xbox. Although I'm not too interested in a Battlestar Galactica 2.

Overall: I dont know why i gave this game such a high rating.I guess i just got into it when i got it.
Gameplay: The game play was typical for this game though i thouught that it could have been more drawn out sometimes.
Graphics: The visual effects were awsome.I was shooting at a fighter one time and when i flew throught it i saw an arm.
Sound: The sound was real enough considering it is based on a fake world anyway.I personally liked the exsplosions.

Overall: I picked this up because it was on sale for 9.99 and well, I'm a sucker for a good deal. This is the sci-fi series I use to watch when I was a little boy, it was fantastic, amazing in every way. So what we have here is game 20 years after the fact. (that's ok they are re launching the series!). It's a space shooter... and well... lets get into it.
Gameplay: Gameplay is akward and frusterating at times. It's a mix of the recent defender remake and asteroids remake.
Graphics: Graphics are decent, but lets face it, they are in space and wll there isn't a lot of great scenerey in space. However, the detail to spacecraft is amazing.
Sound: The sound is great, and play !&%$@#* good thru my surrond sound system. To enjoy this game you must turn on your surround sound...!!
Suggestions: Yes, Make a sequel that isn't so linear...

Overall: I'm not very good at writing these reviews, but I had to write a quick review because I've been having so much fun with this game lately. I admit I bought this game because I am a fan of the original TV series. So I sad what the heck. And let me tell you this game is a blast to play! It is actually a Pre-quil (sp) to the TV series. You play as Adama. For you PC gamers out there this reminds me alot of the WingCommander days.
Gameplay: Game play is great. You can choose from a variety of views. Controls take a few minutes to get used to, but become very intuituve (sp). Lots of colors, enemy ships seem to react well to your shooting. Again if you played any of the Wing Commander series on the PC..its just like that.
Graphics: Wonderful detail, and reports from your wingmen and the base ships all come across very nicely. Planets and ships are very detailed.
Sound: Great sound. Obviously taken from the TV show. They did a nice job with the sound because it helps hearing things to your side etc..I can't wait to play more!
Suggestions: I hope this is a success because this could be a really great start of a series!
