Tron RUNr: Outlands DLC Review
by John ElliottAs a reviewer, I always find it difficult to review DLC, as it's a new section of the game and there is no real need to talk about the actual game play, graphics, and how cool the soundtrack is. All of that you can read in my previous review located here, to which I scored it a solid 80/100 for numerous reasons:

The real question is if this DLC is worth the money for players to pick up to expand their gaming experience with Tron RUN/r with The Outlands add-on. There is whole slew of cosmetic additions with some new characters and new light cycles to spice up the game a bit, however, the nuts and bolts of the add-on is the 16 new levels that have been added to the mix.
Jumping into the first level I noticed immediately the difficulty level was definitely amped up quite a bit, but not to the level where it induced rage quitting tendencies that some gamers might have if it spikes too quickly. It was a perfect balance of trial and error to get through the new levels, and I felt there was some challenge I wish was more prevalent in the core game. The new challenges makes this DLC a welcome change as the difficulty level didn't alter too much when you really got into the core game.
Not only do we get an upgrade in 16 new levels, Stream Mode (Endless Mode) gets some improvements as well, especially in the music department with some great new tracks, which I boasted about in my core game review, which I absolutely love. With a little research I discovered you can actually purchase the soundtrack, and here is a link to iTunes if you love it as much as I do:

Suffice to say the Outlands DLC for Tron RUN/r is a must have if you loved the core game, as the music and new challenging levels make it worth it. Having some great new songs to play through is some icing on the top. Overall, a great bit of DLC that's worth the price.
